Read moreThe lockdown affected everyone in different ways. For many of our young musicians it came at a crucial point in their musical journey. For more advanced players, critical exams, auditions and performances were cancelled. For younger musicians, particularly those on our Furthering Talent programme, it came just as their musical journey was gaining momentum.
In June we launched a creative challenge open to any of the 500+ young musicians we support across our programmes. We asked them to help us make a campaign film to raise awareness of the experiences of young musicians during lockdown and to help us encourage new supporters to join our monthly giving scheme. We invited them to send us footage of how they were making music at home and to share some reflections. We hope you enjoy the result!
If you would like to support AYM by giving a monthly donation, your donation can currently be doubled for 12 months through our Presto! scheme. So there’s no better time to Give Talent a Chance.
