Elizabeth held a variety of strategy and business development roles in the service sector, in parallel with various trustee roles, until she decided that her interests lay firmly in the non-profit sector. She subsequently ran a grant-making charitable trust for many years and now has a number of non-executive director and trustee appointments.
She plays oboe in a London amateur orchestra and has two children who also love orchestral and chamber music playing. Watching them grow up steeped in music has made her realise with sadness that music is now far less accessible to those with limited financial means than when she was a child. She is thrilled to be involved with AYM which makes such a difference to the opportunities for musically talented children to thrive, whatever their financial circumstances.
