National Children’s Orchestra 2020: audition applications now open

The National Children’s Orchestra of Great Britain are now accepting audition applications. This year you can audition via video, so it’s never been easier to apply! Here’s what you need to know:

Are you a young musician aged 7-13 years old, who is a citizen, resident of or studying in the British Isles? This could be your chance to join the National Children’s Orchestras of Great Britain in 2020!

For over 40 years, NCO has been inspiring young musicians to achieve their full potential through learning, performing and creating orchestral music. A place in NCO gives children access to inspirational residential music courses and monthly regional orchestra rehearsals.

Joining NCO has never been more accessible. New for 2019, they are pleased to offer a video audition option for all eligible NCO applicants, regardless of where you live or how old you are. Live auditions are still available for older applicants, in venues around the country such as BRISTOL, BIRMINGHAM, EDINBURGH, LONDON, MANCHESTER, MILTON KEYNES, READING, TAUNTON and many more.

NCO is also proud to offer support with membership fees and other expenses to the children who need it most. NCO has always been open to all young musicians with ability and potential, whatever their background or circumstances, and it is possible to have all or part of your fees paid for you. They offer financial assistance through bursaries so that any young musician can accept their place in NCO. Find out more about their bursaries and annual fees here.

The deadline for all applications is Monday 16 September 2019. Application fees apply.
