Read moreOur summer online concert celebrated the achievements of AYM young musicians at different stages of their musical journeys. Performances were given by two teenage young musicians on our Awards programme, flautist Erika and harpist and young composer David.
Also featured was 12 year old Codi who plays the cornet and is in the early days of her musical journey with AYM, having been nominated for our Furthering Talent programme in 2019.
And we heard from our newest AYM Alumnus Patron, jazz pianist Deschanel Gordon.
Our compere for the evening was Tom Redmond. As well as a BBC Radio 3 broadcaster and horn player, Tom is the Joint Principal of Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester. Chetham’s and AYM have been working together for a long time, supporting many young musicians who study there with help for their musical costs.
The concert took place during Champions for Children week and there are a number of references to donating during this campaign. This campaign is now over, however if you would like to support our work please click here to make a donation. Thank you!
