Could you be AYM’s new Mentoring Manager?


We are seeking a dynamic Mentoring Manager to run our Talent to Talent 2 peer to peer mentoring programme via which young musicians at different stages of their musical journeys mentor each other.

We are delighted to have received a generous Project Grant from Arts Council England to build on the learning from Talent to Talent’s pilot phase, enabling us to develop and share this exciting young person led model.


Who are we looking for?
You will be passionate about increasing access to music making for disadvantaged young people and committed to helping them overcome the barriers they face to fulfilling their musical potential. You will be a self-starter, able to work highly effectively, whether from your home office, on the move across England, or with colleagues across the AYM team. You will be adept at managing multiple priorities and enjoy interacting with a broad range of people.

Job overview:
To ensure the Talent to Talent 2 (T2T2) programme is successfully delivered, achieving its outcomes and outputs as detailed in AYM’s Project Grants application to Arts Council England. You will report to AYM’s Chief Executive, and work in close liaison with the wider AYM team (permanent staff and freelance) and our programme partners.

This is a home-based, flexible position, although travel will be required. We welcome applications from across UK society.

  • 12 month fixed term contract from November 2019 to December 2020
  • Salary: £24,000 per annum pro rata
  • 14 hours per week.
