Read moreIn 2016 we began working with John Lewis Partnership, launching the John Lewis Partnership Awards for Innovation. Each year this partnerships enable us to support a number of young musicians who are showing particular innovation in their music making.
“The John Lewis Partnership has a long tradition of supporting music charities and in particular gems such as AYM which do fantastic work but which are not perhaps as well known as they should be. The main focus of our support is on helping young people who come from backgrounds which limit their access to music in some way, whether financially, through special needs or because of geography.
When AYM approached us, we immediately saw that their goals matched ours and together we created the John Lewis Partnership Awards for Innovation. Reading the regular reports AYM send us on the progress made by our award holders we can see how much their music making is being supported, and in some cases transformed, by the help we give. Through helping them to achieve their musical ambitions we are enriching their lives, as well as contributing to the variety and vibrancy of music-making in this country.”
